Our second live international meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia is over. On Friday, 22. 9. 2023 the partner of our project, the Association of Inclusive Culture, together with the largest school for children with special needs in Ljubljana (Center Janez Levca), organized an international sports and social event called “Be a Sportsmen – Play with Me.” This event placed a significant emphasis on inclusion, as it brought together individuals with special needs and those without. Children had the opportunity to compete in volleyball, football, bocce, and basketball tournaments. In addition, they could participate in more than 40 sports workshops. At this event, it’s not important who wins. What matters is that we all come together, stay active, and respect each other. We where really happy that also the other two partners of our project attended the event. We had a great time together!
The next day, on Saturday, 23. 09. 2023, we met with the partners of the project at the premises of the Association for Inclusion Culture in Ljubljana. Together, we have reviewed the work done so far, exchanged experiences regarding the inclusion of children in regular sports activities and discussed what we can improve. We also planned our next meeting, which will be held in Katerini, Greece. The meeting was very successful, so we look forward to further work and meetings!
