Round table in Slovenia

On Friday, September 22, 2023, at 12:00, a roundtable discussion on the topic of inclusion of
children with special needs took place in Ljubljana. The event was organized by the largest school for
children with special needs in Slovenia, Center Janeza Levca, in collaboration with the Elementary
and secondary boarding school “Milan Petrović” from Novi Sad, Serbia. These mentioned schools
have successfully completed the Erasmus+ project – Small Partnerships titled “Milan and Janez for
Inclusion” or “MILJA for Inclusion.” Over the course of two years, students and teachers exchanges
were carried out within the project. The partners shared their experiences, knowledge, ideas, and
insights at the roundtable.
The roundtable was attended by numerous school principals, teachers, professors from Pedagogical
and Sports faculties, coaches and students. The roundtable had an international dimension, as
guests from Macedonia and Serbia were also present.
At the roundtable, representatives from two Erasmus+ Sport projects also participated – our Include
me and More sports for people with disabilities.
For our project Include me all partners – Greece, Slovenia and Italy attended the presentation of the
project. We presented the purpose, objectives and past achievements of the project. We shared our
experiences with integrating children with special needs into regular sports programs with the other
attendees.
At the roundtable, we gained a lot of experience related to international collaboration and the
inclusion of children with special needs. We were also pleased to have the opportunity to present
our InMe project to experts in the field of special needs.
